Access all your photo requests from the My Requests page:
- My Requests: Central hub for all your photo requests
- Request Status: See if requests are open, assigned, submitted, or completed
- Bid Count: View how many photographers have bid on each request
- Quick Actions: Edit, view bids, or cancel directly from the list
- Search & Filter: Find specific requests quickly
Understand what each status means:
Open
Your request is live and photographers can submit bids. You can edit or cancel at this stage.
Waiting Customer Approval
You've accepted a bid and a photographer is assigned. They're working on your request.
Submitted
The photographer has uploaded a photo. Review it and either approve or request changes.
Completed
You've approved the photo and payment has been processed. Download your photo from Order History.
Cancelled
The request was cancelled before completion. No payment was charged.
You can edit requests that haven't been assigned yet:
- When You Can Edit: Only "Open" requests can be edited
- What You Can Change: Title, description, budget, scheduled time, and photographer instructions
- What You Can't Change: Location and payment method (requires cancelling and creating a new request)
- Existing Bids: Editing a request doesn't affect existing bids, but photographers will see the updated details
đź’ˇ Tip: If you need to change the location significantly, it's better to cancel and create a new request so photographers can re-evaluate their bids.
Choose the best photographer for your request:
- View All Bids: Click on a request to see all submitted bids
- Bid Details: Review each photographer's proposed price and message
- Photographer Profile: See their rating, completed requests, and experience
- Accept or Decline: Choose the bid that best fits your needs
- Payment Authorization: When you accept a bid, your payment method is authorized (not charged yet)
âś… Choosing a Photographer: Don't just pick the lowest price. Consider the photographer's message, experience, and how well they understand your needs.
Use the built-in messaging system to stay in touch:
- Before Accepting: Ask questions about their approach or availability
- After Accepting: Confirm details, provide additional instructions, or check on progress
- During Review: Request specific changes or clarifications about the submitted photo
- Notifications: You'll receive email alerts when photographers message you
Cancel requests when needed, but understand the implications:
- Before Assignment: You can cancel "Open" requests anytime with no penalty
- After Assignment: Cancelling after accepting a bid may affect your account standing
- Payment: No charges are made for cancelled requests
- Photographer Impact: Cancelling after assignment wastes the photographer's time—do so only if absolutely necessary
⚠️ Best Practice: If you need to cancel after assignment, message the photographer first to explain. This maintains good relationships and platform etiquette.
When a photographer uploads your photo:
- You'll receive an email and in-app notification
- Go to the Photo Review page to see the submitted photo
- Review the photo carefully—does it meet your requirements?
- If satisfied: Click "Approve Photo" to release payment and download the full-resolution image
- If not satisfied: Click "Request Changes" and explain what needs to be adjusted
- The photographer can resubmit or discuss through messaging
